Today's the Day

8 November 2008, 0530 hrs

I'm in my 39th week of pregnancy. For the past week, I had been eagerly anticipating baby's arrival. This time, I really want to have a natural delivery so badly. My bag is all packed and every night, I would wish that my waterbag would break or I would experience contractions...but nothing happened.

On Thursday, I went to Thomson Medical Centre (TMC) to confirm baby's dimensions. Baby's head circumference is 35 cm and weight is 3.653 kg. Amir Hakim was born at 38 weeks; head circumference was 36 cm and weight was 3.5 kg. After having through C-section for the first delivery, i discussed with my gynae Dr Lawrence Ang and we decided to go for C-section directly.

I was sad that I am not able to deliver naturally but i've come to accept reality and my fate. What's more important is that baby's healthy. So, today's the day that baby will be born. Rizal and i will be reaching TMC at around 10 am and the operation is scheduled at around 1 pm.

Please pray for us and for the safe delivery of our little one.

Clearing the cobwebs in here!

Greetings netizens, I've been rather preoccupied lately but still no excuse for not touching base here. After some chit-chat with friends at work, I'll start 2 things on this blog in order for me to it more meaningful and purposeful, for both my readers and muah! One new word a day (ONWAD) Book review or excerpts from what ever I've read or am reading for the week. Phew! Seems like quite a daunting task but I'm keen on seeing this through. Shucks...just remembered something about getting phrasal verbs dictionary for my pupils! Let's open up a new tab for that. Anyways, ONWAD - befuddled : to perplex or confuse, The question befuddled even the teacher. See you soon.
